Trips and Visits
These events/runs/ trips are currently being planned and no final details are available yet, contact the named person for the event to register your interest. These events include:
- Biker Down Course – Held on Saturday 8th March at Banbury Fire Station – contact Mike Phipps if you would like to put your name down for a possible re-run later in the year. (successfully completed by 12 members – see MP for an additional opportunity to attend another event)
- Visit to the ERF waste recycling centre on Wednesday 26th March 2025 – all protective gear supplied ( Note!, Visitors will not be required to sort any rubbish). if you’re interested contact Mike Phipps (successful event – members now all ‘au fe’ with what to put in which bin, and what happens to it)
- Trip to Devon, with a few night’s stays – There will be two identical events on different dates. If you’re interested please contact Geoff Wheeler for the first trip (19th – 22nd May), or contact, Dave Jebbitt or Dave Osenten for the second trip (30/06 -04/07).
- Trip to Spain – speak to Phil Schofield or Dave Carr – now planned for April 27th to 13th May. you still have opportunity (just) to tag along if you wish. The itinerary remains fluid.
- Fish and chip run to Moreton in Marsh. 04 June 2025 (Wednesday evening). Organise to get yourself there to meet around 7:00 -7:30. Buy your own F&C’s, have a natter, perhaps a cheeky pint in the pub, and ride home. Better still, arrange to meet and ride there with other members.
- Vintage Bike taster night Members of the BCMC (only) are invited to try riding a true Vintage and/or Vintage sidecar outfit at Hinton Aerodrome on Tuesday 15th July. 7.00 pm at Hinton Aerodrome. Contact Mike Phipps if you are interested.
- Trip through Europe, into Croatia, and back. 28/06/2025 – – duration for 2 weeks – speak to Mike Phipps for further details.
- Extra Girder fork run, a run to the Kineton Bike social on 4th August @ 6 p.m. Meeting up with other section attending members.
- Tysoe flower show, 16th August ’25. We will be hosting a display stand promoting the club. If you wish to display a bike contact Phil Schofield.
- One Night Stand – a proposed 2 day (1 night) longer UK run visiting interesting attractions both on the outbound and inbound legs.
- First date in planning -( somewhere between 3- 17th August) ride the New forest to Sammy Millers, stay the night and have a few beers, visit somewhere on the way home….if you’re interested contact Phil Schofield
- Tysoe flower show, 16th August ’25. We will be hosting a display stand promoting the club. If you wish to display a bike contact Phil Schofield.
- Date TBC – Visit to the Norton Factory. Details here asap.
Club nights and other events
Club nights are a great place to come along and meet the other members and see if the club is for you. We try to arrange a good mix between speakers and purely social nights. The provisional schedule is still being finalised, with some great ideas for new formats.
All Meetings take place at Kings Sutton Memorial Hall, Astrop Rd, Kings Sutton, OX17 3PG at 7.30 for 8.00, unless noted otherwise
